About us

We celebrate 20 years of offering dance classes to all who have passed through our doors; whether for one year as a preschooler, or several years as a more advanced student. The children, the classroom, and teaching are why we started, and it brings us joy to share our life long love of dance with them all. Our classes foster the joy of dance from the beginning by promoting age appropriate music, movement and costuming in a positive atmosphere. Our program has been developed to offer energetic, creative, nurturing, and fun classes where students can thrive and grow with the training they receive each year.

KDD was the first ADAPT certified studio in the United States.

History

Kim’s Dance Dynamics has been a part of the Shiawassee community since 2006, opening after a long history of providing dance classes under the previous ownership of Bohaty’s School of Dance.  Our first location was on Ball St; then expanded to it’s current location at 1085 E. Main St in the Eastside Plaza.  The studio continues to evolve each year to serve the changing needs of today’s families.

Kim is a great dancer, instructor, and family friend. She is friendly,  loyal to her dance family, and will do anything for the dancers. Most everyone knows that Kim provides superior instruction and fun for the dancers!

Jenny Verlinde

Using her own experiences, Kim has modernized and continued to move the studio forward. I always noted how honest Kim was. She was my dance teacher, but also served as a mentor and example during my high school years.

Caytlin Deering

EVERYTHING about Kim’s Dance Dynamics is special and unique! I have had the pleasure of being her student and assistant teacher at the studio.  Her knowledge and teaching skills are impeccable. Kim has extensive training and knowledge in every aspect and style of dance. By taking classes at Kim’s she taught me morals, work ethic, teamwork, confidence, and was always there for support.

Brooke Barone

I think Kim really loves dance and kids and works hard to offer a program that educates and also offers the extra things that make the kids and program feel special.

Claire Smith

I owe a lot of who I am today to Kim, and the lessons she taught me. Kim loves what she does. Whether you are a 3-year-old just beginning with dance or a senior in high school that has been a part of the dance world your whole life, she gives you the same amount of attention.

I feel like Kim pulls the best out of you even if you didn’t think you had it in you. It’s like the saying, “fall down 7 times, get up 8”. Kim has passion, dedication, patience, and the professionalism of an astounding dance instructor. Her choreography, music selection, and costumes are ALWAYS age-appropriate which should be important to all parents looking for quality dance education.

Kim brings a lifetime of professional dance experience to our area. I can remember her commitment to myself and fellow dancers growing up and it seems she has only continued to improve and enrich the lives of young dancers. Her ability to lead a group of 3-year-old, first-time dancers through an organized class and end the year with a beautifully choreographed dance is impressive to say the least!
Kaitlyn Riley-Gregoricka

Overall, dance has impacted my life tremendously through my sports. Being flexible and having certain strengths that Kim’s taught me allowed me to better myself, especially in cheer
